San Antonio Riverwalk Holiday Lights Tour

San Antonio Riverwalk Holiday Lights Tour

Welcome back to this Christmas lights series here in Texas If you missed the first 3 episodes, no need to go back now They’re all on my blog This is the final episode of this series and for that i came back here downtown Austin to show you the most famous attraction in town: the Trail of Lights I’m already here at the Zilker Park, where it takes place, just waiting for the gates to open i came here earlier because every time i come to the Trail of Lights it’s a gigantic traffic jam Various streets downtown are closed to traffic, so you can imagine.

So, while i wait, I’ll take the chance to tell you guys about another place nearby that has an amazing Christmas lights: San Antonio, specially the San Antonio River Walk, just 80 minutes away i went there last year and absolutely loved Imagine a place that is naturally very charming and at this time of the year, full of colored lights.

It’s amazing! You can go for a boat tour, there’s boat caroling, everybody sings along But, hey, it attracts a lot of people So here are my tips:

#1: Go between Monday and Thursday On Fridays and weekends it’s very hard to find parking and when you do find there’s still the waiting line for restaurants, for the boat tours, and you can expect like an hour to 2 hours

#2: Avoid going shortly before Christmas because at this time everybody is already in the mood, wanting to celebrate and it just makes everything more difficult Twice as many people We’re talking about a really busy place, which is actually wonderful and very worth it Now it’s time for the Trail of Lights “How’s it going?” “Good! And you?” The Trail of Lights started more than 50 years ago And today it attracts so many people that out of all events happening along the year here in Austin, this is already among the 3 largest Look at the Austin bats here again! Here you walk a lot! Only inside the park it’s more than a mile (almost 2 km), not counting the distance to and from the parking lot.

So wear proper shoes, but most importantly, come ready for the cold Well, i hope you guys enjoyed this Christmas series here in Central Texas There are so many other events also and Christmas lights in the nearby cities, so i prepared a list on my blog And if you missed any episode, now you can go back and watch! Guys, thank you so much and Merry Christmas!.
